Syracuse forward Nicholas Kaloukian was named to the Preseason All-ACC Team, the conference announced Wednesday. Kaloukian was the only SU player named to the team.
After transferring from Michigan, Kaloukian impressed during his first season with Syracuse. The forward was brought in to help replace Nathan Opoku and Levonte Johnson. The duo combined for 22 goals and 14 assists, helping Syracuse win the 2022 National Championship.
In his debut season with the Orange, Kaloukian was tied for the team lead with six goals. He also added three assists, the fourth most of any SU player. Kaloukian’s marquee performance came in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. He scored two first-half goals against Boston University, propelling the Orange to a 3-1 win.
In 2024, Kaloukian is set to again play a key role for Syracuse. Without key figures like Lorenzo Boselli and Jeorgio Kocevski, Kaloukian — a junior — is one of the most experienced players on SU’s roster.
