Syracuse linebacker Marlowe Wax and Oronde Gadsden II were both named to the preseason All-ACC team Thursday.

Syracuse tight end Oronde Gadsden II and linebacker Marlowe Wax were named to the 2024 Preseason All-Atlantic Coast Conference Football Team, the conference announced Thursday.
Gadsden only appeared in two games last season, catching seven passes for 67 yards and a touchdown, before suffering a season-ending injury. As a sophomore in 2022, his first season as a tight end, Gadsden was a First-Team All-ACC selection. He caught 61 passes for 969 yards and six touchdowns. He led all tight ends nationally in receiving yards while his receptions set an SU single-season record for a tight end.
Wax is returning to Syracuse for his fifth season after earning a Second-Team All-ACC selection in 2023. The linebacker led the Orange with 110 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss and four forced fumbles. He also notched four sacks and an interception. Wax has been a staple on SU’s defense since becoming a full-time starter in 2021.
