Three telephone poles fell on Thursday afternoon after a Pepsi truck hit a low-hanging power line at the intersection of Comstock Avenue and Marshall Street.

A Pepsi truck hit a low-hanging power line near the intersection of Comstock Avenue and Marshall Street Thursday afternoon, a Syracuse Police Department officer at the site said.

As a result, three telephone poles fell down, the officer said.

The SPD officer added that most of the intersection — which is behind Booth Hall and in front of Park Point — is blocked off with police tape in order to protect against any potential dangers.

National Grid, the electric company that provides electricity for Syracuse University, also had employees at the scene trying to fix the power lines.
