SU alumnus, co-founder of SU’s Nu Rho Poetic Society endorses Ford, Boles for SA
It is with great joy and conviction that I endorse Duane Ford as candidate for the office of president of the Student Association. Duane has acquired a great deal of experience dealing with students, faculty and staff during his time as the vice president of the association. I have witnessed his passion and dedication first hand, not only to the students but also to an organization which he seeks to improve upon.
Unlike other candidates, Duane not only has the privilege of being knowledgeable of SA, but also of being an active and faithful member. It is my personal belief that this experience and faithfulness combined with his realistic platform makes him the ideal candidate for students that are looking for real results and change.
Additionally, serving as vice president myself in the 54th session, I know all too well the work it takes to motivate students and accomplish initiatives on and off campus. I was elated to see that the position of vice president is now on the ballot with the president, and even more so that Ms. Nia Boles is being considered for the position. Nia is the ideal candidate for vice president simply because she has a proven track record of reaching out to students, hearing their concerns and acting thereon all in the name of service.
In conclusion, Duane and Nia exemplify my idea of a “student leader,” not perfect by any means but dedicated to the cause of serving on behalf of the student body of this wonderful institution. So on behalf of myself and the LifeLinx. Corporation, we are proud to endorse Duane Ford and Nia Boles for president and vice president of SA.
