Everyone loves a little award gold. This Emmy season, we break down the major nominees that struck gold Sunday night, but more importantly, who actually deserved to take home that statue.
Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series
Who Won: Bryan Cranston in ‘Breaking Bad’
Who Deserved It: Bryan Cranston
For Cranston’s role as Walter White, the actor embarked on a career transformation to become the science teacher-turned-drug dealer. He used to be that goofy dad in ‘Malcolm in the Middle.’ Not anymore. This ability to successfully and believably complete the change earned him our pick.
Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series
Who Won: Edie Falco in ‘Nurse Jackie’
Who Deserved It: Tiny Fey in ’30 Rock’
Fey continues to shine as television creator Liz Lemon, who Fey easily translates into a wildly funny character.
